Guiding You
Toward Growth

Welcome — I’m glad you’re here. People often seek therapy during moments of uncertainty, transition, or pain, and finding someone you feel comfortable with is an important part of growth and healing. In these paragraphs, I hope to give you a genuine sense of who I am, how I think, and how I work.

As a therapist, I see my role as offering a steady, compassionate, and competent ongoing care. I do not ascribe to any particular treatment modality, as I believe that my patients are individuals and cannot neatly be fitted into any particular way of thinking. I see each patient as an individual and the treatment offered must reflect that uniqueness and individuality.  At the core of my work is building an authentic environment where I can learn to value and appreciate each individual I work with. I approach each session with curiosity, honesty, and a shared commitment to try to make progress, one step at a time.

On a more personal note, I’ve always been a naturally caring and what is commonly referred to as a "sensitive person." Being a sensitive person, for me, meant that I experienced life with an intensity that at times made life experiences feel deeply meaningful and conversely, at times, life events felt particularly challenging. My personal experiences helped shape how I listen, how I think, and how I show up in the room. They guide my philosophy of treatment — that people heal through relationships that feel safe, thoughtful, and emotionally grounded. I see my role as a psychologist as a privilege of being invited into my patient's inner life. I cherish that privilege and treat my patient's vulnerability with the upmost devotion and care.

I don’t see therapy as a set of techniques to be applied, but as a collaborative process that unfolds uniquely with each person. I pay close attention to what feels meaningful, what feels painful, what feels confusing, and what feels hopeful. My goal is to help you develop a deeper, more compassionate understanding of yourself, a growing capacity for self-awareness, and a growing confidence to live life on your terms.

Clinical Expereinces

My clinical training is rooted in psychoanalytic thought. I completed a Psychology Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship at the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (NYPSI), where I received intensive training in psychotherapy, assessment, crisis intervention, and long-term psychoanalytic treatment. As part of this training, I completed a year-long rotation on the Acute Psychiatric Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital, working with patients experiencing severe mental illness and high-risk crises. During my rotation I also had the opportunity to work at the Satellite Academy High School, a high school designated for teenagers from underprivliged backgrounds who have experienced challenging and adverse childhoods and the school Additionally, I trained at the Institute for Psychoanalytic training and research (IPTAR), and at the Contemporary Freudian Society (CFS). I also gained competency in trauma-focused work with children at Newark Beth Israel Hospital, and provided psychotherapy to diverse student populations at Brooklyn College. These experiences shaped my understanding of how people adapt, suffer, grow, and heal across different contexts and life stages.

I have maintained a private practice since 2019, where I work with adults navigating trauma, identity transitions, relationship patterns, and emotional regulation.  Alongside my clinical work, I spent several years as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Touro College, teaching Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Theories of Personality, and Introduction to Counseling and Psychotherapy. Teaching has been an important part of my professional life — it sharpened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and helped me stay connected to the evolving landscape of psychological theory and practice.
